Dr. Constantino Trapatsas, M.D.
Cornea, Refractive Surgery, and Cataract Specialist
With more than 20 years of experience in ophthalmology, Dr. Constantino Trapatsas leads a practice dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases, with a strong focus on refractive surgery, cataracts, and corneal disorders.
He graduated from the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara and completed his ophthalmology specialization at the Instituto de Oftalmología Conde de Valenciana in Mexico City. He then pursued a prestigious fellowship in Refractive Surgery and Excimer Laser at the Vardinoyanion Eye Institute of Crete, Greece, under the mentorship of Dr. Ioannis Pallikaris, a pioneer of LASIK.
In June 2023, he participated in AEGEAN CORNEA – Masters of Cornea and Refractive Surgery, and in December 2023, he served as a member of the Organizing Committee and Board of this renowned international meeting.
Dr. Trapatsas is licensed to practice in Panama and Mexico, and has been an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology since 1995. He is fluent in Spanish, English, and Greek, and has contributed to multiple scientific studies on corneal surgery, low vision, and innovative surgical techniques.
His approach combines technical expertise, international experience, and personalized care focused on enhancing his patients’ quality of life.
