DISEASES

Glaucoma

What is
Glaucoma?

Glaucoma is a progressive eye disease that damages the optic nerve, which is responsible for transmitting visual information to the brain. It is most often linked to increased intraocular pressure caused by fluid buildup in the front of the eye.

The damage usually develops silently, with no obvious symptoms in the early stages, making glaucoma one of the leading causes of irreversible vision loss. Without timely detection and management, it can seriously affect the visual field and lead to blindness.

RECOMMENDED PROCEDURE:

Ophthalmic Surgery

Ophthalmic surgery includes different procedures designed to correct vision and treat eye diseases by modifying the cornea or replacing the lens. These treatments can improve visual acuity, relieve symptoms, and enhance quality of life.
