Nasolacrimal Duct Obstruction

What is
Nasolacrimal Duct Obstruction?

Nasolacrimal duct obstruction is a condition in which the tear duct becomes blocked, preventing proper drainage of tears. This leads to fluid buildup, redness, constant tearing, and eye irritation.

It is common in newborns and often resolves on its own within the first year of life. In adults, it may be linked to infections, trauma, inflammation, or anatomical changes, and requires specialized evaluation.

RECOMMENDED PROCEDURE:

Ophthalmic Surgery

Ophthalmic surgery includes a range of procedures designed to correct refractive errors or improve eye health, mainly by reshaping the cornea or replacing the lens.
